How delivery works
Shipping containers are delivered by flatbed or tilt-bed (“roll-off”) truck, not standard parcel carrier. Because of this, delivery is quoted per order based on container size, condition, pickup depot, and your delivery address — the checkout total includes an estimated freight cost, which is confirmed before your order is finalized.
Lead times
- In-stock containers (standard 10ft–40ft, storage/cargo grade): 2–3 weeks from cleared payment to delivery, depending on depot-to-address distance.
- Modified units (cabin, home office, pool, modular buildings): 4–8 weeks, depending on customization scope.
- Specialized & offshore-certified containers: quoted individually; typically 4–10 weeks including any required certification paperwork.
Delivery site requirements
You are responsible for providing a level, accessible surface and enough clearance for a tilt-bed or crane-assisted delivery (typically a straight, unobstructed 75–100 ft approach for tilt-bed trucks). Overhead wires, tight turns, soft ground, or restricted access may require a crane or additional equipment at extra cost — our team will flag likely site issues during the quote call, but a final site assessment is the buyer’s responsibility.
Delivery appointment & receiving
Our freight partner will call to schedule a delivery window (typically a 4-hour appointment). Someone authorized to accept delivery and inspect the container must be present. Please inspect the container before signing the delivery receipt — see Returns, cancellations & refunds for what to do if there’s visible transit damage.
Shipping costs
Orders of $150 or more in accessories (locks, vents, shelving, and other small parts shipped by standard parcel) qualify for free standard shipping. Freight delivery of containers themselves is quoted separately and is not covered by the accessories free-shipping threshold.
